Hello everyone,

I'm Simon and I'm the guy who runs Higher Plain Music (and Higher Plain Games) which are the two websites that form the basis of this forum. I'm also an aspiring singer/songwriter too and really enjoy Disaster/End of the World movies.

I first got into VGM really when I got my first computer games which were on a ZX Spectrum +3. I'd sit and listen to the title screens of games and then use a tape recorder to tape them while I sung over the top of them! From there, the obsession grew when I got the internet, a job and some money to spend. I first grabbed a massive 52 cd order of VGM as a present to myself From then I was just hooked.

I like to write about VGM and the other musical artists I really enjoy because I love to celebrate them and share conversations and friendships with people whom have similar interests. I know of only one other person in real life that has a vague interest in VGM and so its nice to have a community to enjoy.

Of course I love playing the games too. I really like my racing, RPG, puzzle and old fashioned platformers along with all the indie games that offer strange abstract stuff too.

Finally I love to play random instruments (not very well mind you) and sing too so this year I really hope to focus back on that and my first album Runeology is being rereleased on 01.03.10
